What is the best thing about being in the secured loan business?

The opportunity to work for Maeve Ward & Philip George & to add another aspect of lending to my skill set.

What keeps you focussed?

My brokers!  Being able to support the broker market & assist them with being successful is important to me.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Honesty, integrity & the ability to have fun, even under pressure.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

An optimist without a doubt, though I do think it’s important to be a realist too!

What did you want to be as a child?

A fashion/interior designer.

What will be the greatest challenge facing the secured loan industry in the coming months?

Regulation & the impact of MMR.

Who or what makes you laugh?

My daughter Hannah. She is 20 with the most fantastic outlook on life with  a very dry sense of humour.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

Thankfully not.  It’s just another day & a chance to do something good!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

My obsession with shopping. I do love shoes and handbags.

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Prince (and I don’t mean a member of the royal family)
